Rivermaya’s Isang Bandila

By snowy_023 On July 30, 2010 No Comments

Rivermaya will be releasing a new album with their carrier single Isang Bandila which is also the theme of ABS-CBN’s late night news program Bandila. They’ve just finished shooting its music video which premiered last night after Bandila. The song has a catchy tune and check out the lyrics.

Huwag kang mabahala sa kahol ng mga aso
Ligtas ang pag-asang nakasakay sa ating mga palad at balikat
Huwag mong patulan, huwag mong sakyan
Ang mga talangka
Panis ang angas sa respeto’t pagpapakumbaba
Walang matayog na pangrap
Sa bayang may sipag at tiyaga
Isang ugat, isang dugo
Isang pangalan, Pilipino
Isang tadhanan lalakbayin
Isang panata, isang bandila

Gabay by Callalily

By snowy_023 On July 27, 2010 No Comments

Andito lang ako
Gumagabay sa ‘yo
Laging nakatitig
Kahit sa panaginip

Lumipas ang taon
Ako’y nawalay sa iyo
Nilamon na ng oras
Ang ating samahan

[REFRAIN]
Ngayong wala ka na
Saan pa pupunta
Doon ba o dito
Gusto ko nang sumuko
Ngunit sinabi mo

[CHORUS]
Andito lang ako
Gumagabay sa ‘yo
Laging nakatitig
Kahit sa panaginip
Hindi pababayaan
Ikaw ay iingatan
Asahan mong nandito lang ako

Ginawa na ang lahat
Upang ika’y mahanap
Suntok sa buwan akong umaasa

[Repeat REFRAIN]
[Repeat CHORUS]

Asahan mong nandito lang ako

[AD LIB]

Ngunit sinabi mo
Ngunit sinabi mo, ohh ohh ohh

[Repeat CHORUS]

Asahan mong nandito lang ako
Asahan mong nandito lang ako

Para sa Masa by Eraserheads

By snowy_023 On July 20, 2010 No Comments

Ito ay para sa mga masa
Sa lahat ng nawalan ng pag-asa
Sa lahat ng ng aming nakasama
Sa lahat ng hirap at pagdurusa

Naaalala niyo pa ba
Binigyan namin kayo ng ligaya
Ilang taon na ring lumipas
Mga kulay ng mundo ay kumupas

Marami na rin ang mga pagbabago
Di maiiwasan pagkat tayo ay tao lamang
Mapapatawad mo ba ako
Kung hindi ko sinunod ang gusto mo

La la la la la la la la…

Pinilit kong iahon ka
Ngunit ayaw mo namang sumama

Huwag mong hayaang ganito
Bigyan ang sarili ng respeto

Unang Tikim by Kamikazee

By snowy_023 On July 15, 2010 No Comments

Sa dinami dami ng nakilala
Walang kapares kung sayo’y
Ihahambing sila
Sayo lang natikman ang langit
Kung saan saan naghanap [kung saan saan napadpad],
Sayo lang natangpuan

Chorus]:
Tamis ng unang tikim,
Hinahanap hanap, di na makikita
Ika’y walang kahambing,
Ang bangis at walang kasing tamis
Na unang tikim
Karanasan natin na kay lupit
Sayo kahit ano di ko pagpapalit
Sayo lang nalasap ang langit
Kung saan-saan naghanap [isang pag-ibig na wagas],
Sayo lang nadama

Hindi malilimutan
Tamis ng nakaraan
Hindi malilimutan
Sa iyo naranasan

Hale releases “Magkaibang Mundo” featuring Angel Locsin

By Jacaranda On July 8, 2010 No Comments

Scraped from Angel Locsin Facebook page:

Hale releases new single and music “Magkaibang Mundo” featuring Angel Locsin

Hale is back with their fourth single, “Magkaibang Mundo”, from their fourth studio album “Kundiman” under PolyEast Records and now it has set its aim on ruling the music charts one more time. Their previous singles which include: “Bahay Kubo”, “Kalesa,” and “Harinawa” helped the band chart-topped again since they started with EMI Philippines back in 2005 with the chart-topping hit single “The Day You Said Goodnight”, which undeniably made Hale a household name virtually overnight.

angel locsinThe video, directed by Nani Naguit, features a cameo role done by Ms. Angel Locsin. As the band’s frontman and the single’s songwriter Champ Lui Pio shares, “For this video, it was really a team effort. The team brainstormed and really helped each other build the whole video from story line, to cinematography, color grading, editing – everything. What makes this video really special is the effort poured into it. You can really see and feel the passion the people put behind it.”

Champ continues, “Angel is truly an angel from heaven. To be honest, we were working on a limited budget for this video. She was gracious enough to appear on the video and do it for free. She was so involved and patient with us despite having to deal with obstacles during the shoot. Hands down to her! It was an experience that we will never forget.”

The song, “Magkaibang Mundo” is about “recollecting past memories and rekindling precious moments of a past love. Wondering what life would have been if fate had gone in a different path. The person struggles to move on and cannot deny the passion he has for the other,” Champ says. “In the end, love prevails, hope will rise. But it might just be a little too late.”

The best part of the song, lyrically and vocally, is found in the bridge as Champ starts to sing the lines through his melodic voice: “Walang balakid / Walang makakapigil / Ang iyong pangalan / Sigaw ng damdamin / Hindi alam kung saan tutungo / Kung wala ka”.

Champ is nothing but thankful for Hale’s latest feat. He says, “For now, I’m just grateful for the experience shooting the video. I’m really, really happy with it. And I’m excited to share it to everyone.”

“Magkaibang Mundo” music video is slated for release on MYX premiere this Sunday July 11 at 8am. Meanwhile, the album KUNDIMAN is still available in CDs.

Ambotsa by Rivermaya

ambotsa
Rivermaya released the music video of their latest song “Ambotsa.” Ambotsa is the rock band’s latest single from their second album with new vocalist Jayson Fernandez. The album, entitled “Closest Thing to Heaven” was considered a much heavier effort from the band that carries less of the indie feel of its predecessor Buhay. Released by Warner Music Philippines, the album also features songs with pop, electronica and world music feel including Mulat, Ms. Ecstatic, Ongano, Remenis, Locomoco, Dangal, Save your Soul and Here We are Again. The song “The Sight of You,” on the other hand, has the folk pop vibe.

The music video of “Ambotsa” was directed by Treb Monterras and featured veteran actor/musician Palito and Akemi Elgar.

Soapdish’s “Parang si Ely Buendia” Lyrics

By Jacaranda On March 25, 2010 No Comments

“Parang si Ely Buendia”, that’s what I’ve been hearing for a couple of days now, in twitter, in facebook in.. everywhere! One thing I can say, good job to whoever is promoting it!

I know found out that “Parang si Ely Buendia” is a new song by Soapdish and they will be launching the music video of the song Friday, March 26 at Ten 02 Bar in Timog, Quezon City. (With performances by Above Zero, Cunejo, Silent Sanctuary, Rubberpool and Soapdish).

Ok, since that is out of the way… What’s up with the title.. or the song?! I don’t want to assume that I am right, but don’t you guys think that this band who made this “Parang si Ely Buendia” song is just riding Mr. Buendia’s popularity? Maybe hoping that they will get a few of the masses’ attention to them, you know a little spotlight?

heck, anyway, here’s the lyrics of the song.
