Eraserheads Reunion Concert – The Final Set

How humiliating… Here I am running Pinoy Banda, a weblog dedicated to our very own pinoy bands and I am the last one to write about the forthcoming second part of the Eraserheads’ reunion concert, dubbed “The Final Set”… Heck, that’s alright, I got busy and I got lazy and I got tons of excuses but I will make a post about it today, so here it is:

Last year, August 30, the Philippine Nation was all jumpin’ and singing and shouting along with Ely Buendia and the rest of the Eraserheads as they perform their supposedly one night reunion concert. That unfortunate evening, Ely was rushed to the hospital and wasn’t able to finish the concert..

And now, come March 7, they will be gracing the country again with their “Final Set”!

Popular Pinoy pop-rock group The Eraserheads will reunite for their second and last concert set on March 7, a television report said Monday.

QTV’s “News on Q” said Diane Ventura, manager of vocalist Ely Buendia, confirmed this after Buendia was given a clean bill of health by his doctors.

The report said the concert will be called “The Final Set,” but the venue has yet to be finalized.

“To the fans, I know I’m speaking for the whole band when I say that they’re looking forward to seeing you on March 7. See you there,” Ventura said in a phone interview aired on “News on Q.”

Ventura said the concert would be held to give Eraserheads fans closure.

The band’s reunion concert last August 30 was cut short when Buendia was rushed to the hospital after suffering chest pains in the middle of their performance. He later underwent angioplasty.

Ventura assured that Buendia, who is also her lifelong partner, is physically prepared for the upcoming concert after his doctors gave him the go signal. – GMANews.TV
