Moonlane and Gardens

I am some of many who witnessed the album launch of Orange and Lemons’ newest studio album – Moonlane and Gardens in Odyssey Record Bar in SM Megamall.

Though the official announcement from ONL’s yahoogroups that the band will ‘make an appearance, perform a few songs for the press and the fans, and sign copies of the album’ we just got the ‘make an appearance’ part. But we did had our CDs and poster signed. The missing part is the performance. (I know it’s not a big deal, but hey, I was looking forward to it).

The band arrived a few minutes after 5:30pm. The crowd was all excited to see them! (So was I). We took few pictures, I even capture the unveiling of the new album on video and still pics but haven’t uploaded it yet.

During my stay there for an hour or more waiting for the band to come, the background music played was of course ONL’s new CD. I kept hearing the first single of the album ‘Ang Katulad Mo’y Walang Katulad’ and I can’t put my fingers to it but I am certain I have heard that song before.

I know that band have had controversies before with the first Pinoy Big Brother’s theme song, Pinoy Ako, and for that I was afraid that they got another one just around the corner.

And then, I remembered where I heard it from! It’s from the soundtrack of one of my favorite movieKate and Leopold. The song was “Until”
Written and Performed by Sting.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think you should hear it too. Download/Play both the mp3 below and please tell me that I’m mistaken…

  1. [...] a very big Beatles fan myself, I listened to Moonlane Gardens looking for any Beatles connections in the songs – both in lyrics and in melody – because we all [...]

  2. Is it possible for me to get the lyrics of “Ode To Love”. I’ve been looking everywhere for the lyrics.

    Thank you =)
